Pizza Sauce
This pizza sauce is quick and easy to make, using simple pantry ingredients that everyone has on hand. My mother has been using this pizza sauce as far back as I can remember… definitely nostalgic to me. I am confident you will never go store bought again. This sauce comes together and is ready to use in just 10 minutes, or you can make a large batch and store in the fridge or freezer.
Ingredients:
1 jar (660 ml) tomato puree
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon dried oregano
Unrefined salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh basil leaves
Directions:
- Add ingredients to a small pot, cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes.
- Use immediately or allow to cool then store in an airtight glass container in the fridge.
- Can also be separated into smaller containers for single use.
